Four Most Important Things to Consider Before Being Appointed as a Manager
Maybe you are starting a new business and you will appoint yourself a manager or the owner of the company you work in trusts you and wants to give you the management of the company. Appointing a manager is often a moment for career advancement, but it also places some responsibilities and responsibilities to keep in mind. None of the following is a reason to give up on this step, of course, if you have it in mind when agreeing to be the manager of a company.
1. The annual account is your responsibility
Each company is obliged to submit an annual account for the operation in the previous year, no later than the end of February for the previous year. The annual account is prepared by your accountant, but it is a document that is signed and declared by you. Keep this deadline in mind as failing to file an annual bill raises a lot of bureaucratic difficulties, unnecessary costs and penalties.
2. You will also be sanctioned if the company commits an offense
Most of the misdemeanor fines in the country state that the Manager will be sanctioned in the amount of 30% of the amount of the fine imposed on the company.
The only way to avoid this is to make sure the company complies with the law.
3. You guarantee the tax debt of the company
The Law on Tax Procedure identifies the manager as a person whose decisions affect the activities of the company, ie a person representing the taxpayer who is a debtor. Thus, the manager will be responsible for the tax debt of the company in the amount of his authority.
In addition to the manager, the owner is also responsible, but we think this is important to keep in mind.
4. You can always resign and get rid of obligations
Just because you have accepted to be a Manager does not mean that you cannot be relieved of these responsibilities. The law provides for a procedure that formally takes about 30 days, based on which you can get rid of the obligations of a Manager at any time.
We must note that the above points must not be a reason for you to give up this function. Every career advancement means bigger duties and responsibilities which, if taken into account, will not be an obstacle
