Name of the company
In accordance with the Company Law of the Republic of North Macedonia, the business name shall be the name used by the company in its operations and legal transactions. The business name of a company shall be determined and altered in the manner set forth by the statement of founding of a single-member company, company agreement or charter. The business name of a company and all alterations thereto shall be entered in the commercial register.
The business name shall contain a designation that refers to its scope of operations, its registered office, and type of company. The business name may contain additional inscriptions (drawings, pictures, symbols, etc.) to designate the company in more detail, with the exception of data that is or may be misleading regarding the company’s scope of operations, or data that might create confusion with the identity of another company, or data that violates the intellectual property rights and/or other rights of other companies or persons registered in the country and abroad. The business name may be used as a trademark, in a manner and under the terms and conditions specified by law.
In accordance with the law, the word “Macedonia” and other words having the same root, as well as any abbreviations thereof, the flag and the coat of arms, may be contained in the business name only if approved by the Ministry of Justice.

Address of the company
In accordance with the law, the registered office address entered in the commercial register shall be the registered office of the company.
In the procedure for company registration in North Macedonia, the Central Register does not require any lease agreement or proof of ownership of the premises to be presented as evidence of occupying the address where the company is registered. This means the company can be registered at a virtual address.

E-mail of the company
During the process of company establishment in North Macedonia, the Central Register requires the registration agent to register the official email address of the company. This email address will also appear in the official company extract.
From a technical point of view, any domain name is acceptable.

(3) Using ‘Macedonia’ in the name requires Ministry of Justice approval — if you want to include the word Macedonia, its derivatives, the flag or the coat of arms in the company name, prior approval from the Ministry of Justice is required. (4) Virtual address is permitted — you do not need to own or lease physical premises to register the company. A virtual address is acceptable and the Central Register does not require proof of occupancy. (5) Register a valid company email — an official email address is required at registration and will appear in the company extract. Any domain is acceptable. Use a dedicated business email, not a personal one.
