According to this law, marriage can be divorced by mutual consent of the spouses or by the initiation of a lawsuit.

If the spouses have joint minor children or adult children over whom the parental right has been extended. Also, it is necessary to submit an agreement on the manner of exercising the parental rights and duties and on the maintenance and upbringing of the children.

The court will decide on the divorce by mutual consent of the spouses. This is only if it finds that they have made that agreement freely, seriously, and unwaveringly.

For these reasons, the law stipulates that a marriage may be dissolved at the request of one of the spouses if the marital relationship is so disturbed that life together becomes unbearable.
